Veterinarian
What we’re seeking:
We are looking for veterinarians with a love of emergency medicine to join our startup team. The perfect candidate will have a strong proficiency in emergency procedures and medicine, capable of stabilization of the critically ill and preferable comfort with emergency surgical procedures. We are seeking collaborative individuals eager to continually grow and perfect their craft.
C.A.R.E. is set to open in February of 2023 and will be the only 24/7 emergency facility in Naples, FL. We are eager to serve our community and anticipate a high case load from inception. We are interested in emergency veterinarians capable of staying calm under pressure, able to handle a high volume of emergency patients and serve as a leader to the veterinary team while on shift. Ideally candidates will have a minimum of 1 year of emergency experience and feel confident as an emergency practitioner.
Full time doctors work 11-13 shifts per month with flexible scheduling to ensure an optimal work-life balance. Our hospital is 24/7/365 and veterinarians require flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Essential Job Requirements:
- Must have a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine and ability to practice within the United States
- Have a Florida Veterinary License that is in good standing

CVT/Veterinary Technician
What we’re seeking:
We are seeking experienced veterinary assistants to join our emergency team. 1 year of emergency experience or 1-2 years of general practice experience is preferred. Assistants serve an essential role in our hospital and provide excellent patient handling and care. Comfort working and caring for animals that are in critical condition is required.
Our hospital is 24/7/365 and our assistants require flexibility to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assist in the triage and stabilization of incoming emergent patients
- Capable in safe animal restraint and handling
- Assist in providing nursing care to critical and stable patients
- Assist in providing timely and proficient treatments and procedures to patients
- Assist ER doctors with exams, treatments and procedures
- Immediately respond to STAT situations and codes. Capable of assisting in patient care and treatments of the critically ill
- Capable of assisting in surgical prep
- Perform in-house laboratory work and assist in obtaining diagnostic imaging
- Able to restrain pets for administration of medications and treatments
- Fill medications accurately
- Assist in cleaning / sterilization of medical equipment and instruments
- Work collaboratively with doctors and staff to ensure hospitalized patients receive the best possible care
- Able to communicate client updates of patients in our care
- Proficient in communication and empathy with clients. Capable of providing comfort to patients as well as their owners
- Comfortable presenting treatment plans with owners and having conversations regarding financial requirements
- Utilize whiteboard software and assist in updating treatment status
- Recognize subtle change in clinical status of patients and alert doctors promptly to these updates
- Ability to communicate discharge and medication instructions with clients
